Baby's first snow
Today was our first snow, so we got Max all bundled up in his puffy jacket and booties to see what he thought.
He wasn't that thrilled.
We realized later, after losing one or the other of them repeatedly on the shortish walk to Broadway Panhandler, that the booties weren't really his size. He takes a medium in most clothes now, but was swimming in the small booties. Go figure.
He was having more fun after we stopped at a pet supply store and got some little disposable rubber booties that fit better, but on the whole he's not loving the cold. We'll have to try again when it's actively snowing to see if he finds that more interesting.

Max Has a Big Day
Wednesday night mom came down for pre-Thanksgiving dinner and we took Max up to Central Park to watch the balloons being blown up for the parade the next morning. We particularly enjoyed seeing Kermit the Frog.
Afterwards, we stopped by my boss Jerilyn's apartment to pick up a baby gate she offered to let Max use, and so he could meet her dog Zoe. The results were hilarious:

Max Chases His Tail
I know everybody thinks their puppy is the very cutest puppy ever in the whole wide world. And that's understandable--but just silly really, as the actual cutest dog in the whole wide world ever ever is right here. Snoring and farting on my lap as I type single handed, and in this video.

Zombie Dog
Only Corey could manage to shoot such a good angle of a puppy sleeping in his lap.
Only Max could sleep and dream through whatever the hell devil music his daddy is blasting in the background.
Ladies and gentlemen, we present:

Max Loves Baseball!
Actually, Max couldn't care less. We couldn't either, really. Except we were watching the last game of the World Series, because it was the last game and because Corey went to college in Boston. Then because this blowout was even more boring than a regular televised baseball game, my mind began to wander. Eventually it landed on "Wouldn't it be so cute if we got a picture of Max in that mini helmet souvenir sundae cup I got at the Cyclones game?"
We do actually love the Brooklyn Cyclones. Nothing better than a live minor league game down by the shore, Nathan's hot dog in one hand, Brooklyn brew in the other, knowing you can hit the Wonder Wheel as soon as the game is over.

Wahoo!!
Max would like to send a shout out to his aunt Mickey and her dog Abby for the AWESOME goodie box. Look at all this swag!! Two bags of treats, SIX new chew toys, some pre-moistened swabs for those hard to reach places, and yet another Halloween costume. We'll try to get the glasses to stay on long enough for a picture.
THANK YOU AUNT MICKEY!!!!!

Baby's second Halloween Costume
Believe me, it was like going to brunch with Mick Jagger with him in this outfit. Everybody had to stop and say hello. Fortunately, he wouldn't stand for the hat that long, so the adorable factor was reduced somewhat by the time we got outside. Otherwise, he might have qualified as a traffic hazard.
BTW, Morandi is THE place for puppy friendly brunch around here.

Puppy Play Group--The Best Thing EVER!!
We love our vet. Dr. Cohen at Heart of Chelsea Animal Hospital is a total sweetheart. She really seems to know her stuff, and makes us feel like she cares about Max as an individual, not just a patient. Max thinks she's his girlfriend because she gives him squeezy cheese, and he never even noticed that it was to distract him from the shot he was getting in his other end.
Another fantastic reason to use HOCAH is puppy play group. Until they're fully inoculated, it's not safe for puppies to be around other dogs. HOC sponsors a free play group on Monday nights to offer exercise and socialization for their patients they have examined and know are healthy, but who aren't fully immunized yet. it's good for the puppies physical and emotional growth, but more importantly, SO CUTE!!!!

Max's first night at home
So being the kind of people we are, the first thing we do when we get Max home is start videoing. We think he has real star quality.
